(That's me looking disheveled. I don't normally look that way but sometimes photographers make you do dumb stuff when they take your photo. I also have new glasses since this was done.)

Rob Hunter is a comedian and writer from Adelaide, (Australia's Hollywood), now living in Melbourne.

He has written for various radio and TV shows including Rosehaven, Spicks & Specks, The Weekly, RoveLIVE, Dang It To Heck!, You’re Skitting Me, Get Krack!n, Aftertaste, Problems, The Yearly, The Time Traveller's Guide To Not Dying, and Hard Quiz.

An accomplished stand-up, Rob has toured extensively throughout Australia and the UK, performing at various festivals and with the prestigious Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow. His shows have received multiple outstanding reviews and award nominations including a Golden Gibbo nomination for his show Moosecow. (He didn't win but being nominated is still pretty good.)

Rob also wrote a play called Special Detective, which he performed with his pal Luke McGregor. The peculiar noir/sketch thing was described as “An absolute gem... simultaneously sophisticated and silly” - Chortle (UK).

Rob is also known for his bizarre talk and sketch show Late O'clock, which can be seen here on his Youtube channel or live at the MICF. The oddball show was an immediate cult hit and popular staple of the MICF's 'Festival Club' featuring a cast including Stephen K Amos, Hannah Gadsby, Aunty Donna, Wil Anderson, Celia Pacquola, Guy Montgomery, Michelle Brasier, Sam Campbell, Frank Woodley, Ryan “Toadfish” Moloney and many others. “It’s corker stuff!” –The Age.

Alongside animator Chris Edser, Rob is the co-creator and head writer of animated sketch series Dang It To Heck!, which was nominated for 'Best Australian Animation' at Melbourne Web Fest as well as being selected for multiple international festivals. It was subsequently released on ABC iView and can be viewed by clicking here.

A prolific writer, Rob has written more than 100 articles for various publications, most notably SBS Comedy where his pop culture and topical articles were some of the most widely read on the website until the dang thing was decommissioned and destroyed!

As well as writing and creating his own material, Rob is consistently engaged as a consultant and script doctor for some of Australia’s most well-known comedians and producers.

Rob is represented by the highly regarded talent agency Creative Rep.

For writing inquiries, please contact Rob's agent Wendy Howell via the Creative Rep website, or send Rob a message and see what happens? (He'll probably reply. He usually has free time.)
