Late O’Clock with Rob Hunter

Late O'ClockLate O’Clock is Rob’s horrifyingly awkward talk show. The interviews are a bit like those conducted by Shaun Micallef, Andy Kaufman, Zach Galifianakis and anyone else who has ever been a butthole to a guest.

Rob started writing questions in 2006 but it wasn’t until 2010 that someone agreed to be a guest on his show. That guest was television’s Lehmo and the interview can be seen on Rob’s Youtube channel along with many other interviews and sketches.

Rob also performs the show live at various comedy festivals. The show was first performed at the 2011 Melbourne International Comedy Festival and quickly became a hit, with guests including Charlie Pickering, Wil Anderson, Greg Fleet, Tom Gleeson, Eddie Ifft and DeAnne Smith. It was a lot of fun and here are some (mostly) nice things people wrote:

One of the more enjoyable experiences at this year’s festival …A must see.” -Watch Out For.

…a delightfully prickly assault. …Genius.” -The AU Review

Both guests called their host a word beginning with ‘C’. The word wasn’t ‘clever’.” -The Pun

The show’s guest list now includes Stephen K Amos, Tony Martin, Adam Hills, Ryan “Toadfish” Moloney, Hannah Gadsby, Felicity Ward, Dave Callan, Josie Long, The Beards, Celia Pacquola, Cal Wilson, Allday, Ronny Chieng, Luke McGregor, Sam Simmons and children’s musical superstar Peter Combe!

Rob’s pal Jason Chong helped launch the series. You can see more of his stuff by clicking here. (He’s foreign.) The good people at Stupid Old Studios in Melbourne now film and edit the show because Rob moved there.
